Susan is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses her general civil litigation defense practice in the areas of personal injury, motor vehicle, employment, and coverage matters. She has defended and tried numerous claims involving bodily injury, insurance coverage and employment claims in state and federal courts in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Prior to joining the firm, Susan had a successful private practice handling employment-related and bodily injury claims for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (formerly Burlington Northern Railroad) and Canadian Pacific Railroad (formerly Soo Line Railroad).

Susan was listed in Minnesota Super Lawyers in 2006, and from 2008 to the present as well as Best Lawyers in America from 2016 to the present.  Susan has also been listed in Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition, Personal Injury Defense: General, from 2009 to the present and was listed in Minnesota Top 100 Women Super Lawyers in 2008.  Susan has consistently received an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
