Chris is an experienced civil litigator specializing in commercial trucking defense.  He represents numerous insurance companies, motor carriers, and retail businesses and restaurants in all aspects of civil defense litigation.  Chris has been certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association (an honor held by less than 3% of Minnesota lawyers) and has successfully defended and tried claims involving wrongful death, bodily injury, and products liability, in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Chris is frequently sought as a speaker in the area of commercial trucking defense, and has presented at symposiums around the country.  Prior to his defense work, Chris worked at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and on the Plaintiff’s side.  Now, he brings this unique multi-faceted knowledge of every aspect of civil litigation from immediate response to an incident or claim through trial and post-trial representation to work for his clients.

He has been listed in Minnesota Super Lawyers from 2014 to 2015 and again from 2021 to the present, and was listed in Minnesota Rising Stars from 2004 to 2012.  He has been selected as a Top 100 Civil Litigation Attorney by the American Society of Legal Advocates from 2018 to the present.  He was also listed in Best Lawyers in America in 2021 to the present.
