Matthew has an active litigation and trial practice with a focus on insurance defense matters.   In his nearly 20 years of practice, Matthew has worked at firms large and small, both in house and in private practice. He has defended individuals, businesses and insurers of all sizes in state, federal and appellate courts throughout Minnesota and Iowa  Matthew enjoys problem solving clients’ needs as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Matthew attended the Drake University for both his Juris Doctor and for his undergraduate B.A. and B.S. degrees, majoring in Mathematics, English and Law, Politics, and Society.

Outside the office, Matthew has served on the board of the American Mock Trial Association for over 20 years, is a relentless consumer of political and economic news, has been accused of being a competent cook, and is an unabashed fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
